Writing
I have travelled extensively around Australia, driving through the outback from Melbourne to Cairns, and crossing from Sydney to the West Coast via Broken Hill, White Cliffs and across the Nullarbor. I spent months in a campervan researching and writing updates for Footprint’s West Coast Australia guidebook (4th edition, October 2011) in 2010/2011, which took me from Norseman to Broome. My travels inspired a number of articles which were published in The Independent, TNT Down Under, and Australia and New Zealand magazine. I also contributed to Footprint’s Perth Focus Guide (1st edition, November 2011).
In 2011, I worked on the new edition of Footprint’s Sri Lanka (5th edition, October 2011) and am currently writing a Sri Lanka guide for Dorling Kindersley, due to be published at the end of 2013. I have written about Sri Lanka for Thomas Cook Sport, and more recently for National Geographic Traveller (UK).
I lived in Luxembourg for many years and have contributed text to the Luxembourg Cityjet destination guide.
I a member of Travelwriters UK.
